Having them displayed in this order would be good. The OP, and I agree, feels that tag order is important. Pic below shows the track after it has been added to library, with red ‘Unavailable’ notification above track title. (For playback, I use a script to copy a selection of tracks in Swinsian to the queue in HQ Player. Everywhere else they are in alphabetical order. Pic below shows that it will not play, despite no indication that it is unavailable on Qobuz. Posted JI recently switched from iTunes to Swinsian as a music database manager because Swinsian handles FLAC and DSF files. In the metadata edit screen, they in the id order. I have clicked on and tried everything to get these sub-folders to be sorted. If I add another sub-folder it just goes to the bottom of the listing of sub-folders. Under 'Folders' I have about 20 sub-folders. I have a heading called 'Folders' when I go to my e-mail app. I can see similar things happening with all the link tables.įor the tags, there is some inconsistency in the display. I have no idea what you are talking about. The id does give a sequence for the tags in the book. But, as I hadn't noticed that the primary key was the id, I assumed it was just the row creation order. Hi, Apologies for the double post - couldn’t see my original and assumed I had done something wrong so re-posted - at which point the original popped up. The viewer I was using can display a rowid as the first column. There is no smart playlist option in the iOS music app. If there is only one song from that album in his library, that song will keep replaying over and over instead of going to the next album with new music. I didn't look at the actual structure, just viewed the data. Ultimately, that leaves him no option but to play recently added music by albums instead of songs. The whole Music app seems to be a disaster. If I use Get Info it is all there, the fault just seems to be in album view. IIRC, order is preserved for tags like columns containing names, just like it is for the authors column, you will have to use & instead of, as the separator, Order information for all many-many columns is stored in the link table, the order in which the entries for a particular book appear in that table is significant. I also updated to Catalina, with a clean install and rebuilt my music library, all the artwork, (independently sourced- not from Apple), initially was there and has been until today, now no artwork displays in album view. Its kind of a new mindset, and I love it. Swinsian sorting by date added softwareetween MediaMonkey and the very useful Bulk Rename Utility (win. One thing you need to know up front is that this is not iTunes its meant to. ![]() If you want a tags like column in which order is preserved you can create a custom column in Preferences->Add your own columns (check the box that says 'Contains names'). Swinsian recently added tracks not alphabetizing.
